If you're starting to prepare a project idea for Europe for Citizens and reaching out to potential partners, you will also need to study the 2017 Work Programme which has just been published.
This handy document lists the 'priorities' for the programme and helps put context around it. It lays out the challenges confronted by the EU currently including the fight against terrorism; the response to the most serious migration and refugee crisis since WW2; and the impact of Brexit. In this way, the document asserts the relevance of the Europe for Citizens Programme and the need to increase awreness about the need for European integration. Reflecting on these themes can help you and your organisation think up a creative project idea. We advise reading the full document here and visiting the EU's citizenship portal for more ideas.
